hollywood execs in their 30′s

Monday, February 9th, 2009

yes a wave of nostalgia has hit Hollywood. but it’s not the usual “hey let’s make movies about the groovy 60′s man” but a nostalgia for the TV series that dominated the 70′s and 80′s.

i remember waiting all week for the new episodes of “Star Trek”, “GI JOE”, “Transformers” and such, really cool “culture breaking” TV shows.  now boom! they’re on the big screen, bigger and badder than ever.

i know we’ve seen star trek movies for about 3 decades and transformers is just a new installment of the franchise, but there is a big difference between 2009 and the earlier movies.

bigger budgets, A list directors and producers, re – imagination of style and functuality. and most of all, you can tell that the executives behind these movies are bringing in their childhood memories to these productions.

so first of all, thank you hollywood for bringing my TV shows back to life and what’s next – a $100,000,000 budget “dennis the menace”?

Monday, February 2nd, 2009

we all know that the superbowl isn’t just the game. it’s really a showcase for advertisiers. this year i was pretty dissapointed since most of what aired was just ok. although there were a few brilliant spots.

take a look at what i got (in no particular order) for a start

2009 superbowl ads

Tuesday, January 27th, 2009

this is the first batch i got. you know, if you’re gonna spend $3,000,000 for 30 seconds of advertising, you better bring something really creative to the table.

do these match up in your opinion?
